RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Something More by Jenna Tyler

Blurb:

Rebecca Michaels has finally grown tired of her monotonous life and is ready to make a drastic change. Now that her daughter, Charlie, is away at college, there has never been a more perfect time to make it happen.

Packing up and leaving behind all she's ever known, she eagerly ventures out in search of what the world, outside of this dull town, has in store for her.

When she first encounters Andrew Chambers, a mysteriously sexy and seemingly wealthy stranger, she doesn't think she will ever stand a chance with someone like him. Little does she know just how wrong she is or how fierce an attraction the two of them would immediately share. Although, lavish attention and on-demand orgasms are not something she's going to complain about, the speed and intensity with which Andrew pursues her is almost more than she can handle.

Rebecca Michaels wanted an adventure, but the one that awaits her isn't necessarily what she had in mind.

{Review} Chasing Serenity by Eden Butler

Graduate student Autumn McShane has had her share of heartbreak. She's been abandoned and betrayed and she lost her beloved mother in a tragic car accident five months ago. That loss damaged her body and fractured her spirit but she's learning to recover, until her ex-boyfriend returns to town, intent on making her life miserable.

Declan Fraser hates her ex as much as Autumn does, but the last thing she needs is to put her trust in the hands of another man, especially one like Declan: his hard body and lulling Irish accent makes more than a few girls weak-kneed. The talented rugby player is rude and sarcastic, with tattooed, muscular arms and a cocky attitude, but he's the only one who can help Autumn win an ill-advised bet that, if lost, could cost her more than she's willing to pay. The reluctant alliance between Declan and Autumn stirs up cravings she doesn't want to admit, but Declan is a hard man to resist.

Just when Autumn starts letting down her carefully constructed walls to the sexy bad boy, he betrays her when she needs him most. Autumn suspects Declan has secrets, and she is determined to uncover what drove him away from her, even if that means fraternizing with the enemy. But will the truth return Declan to her arms or add to the scars on her heart?

My Thoughts

So this book has been on my TBR for a while (probably since it came out in October). I remember downloading it because some other blog mentioned it and I liked the cover and the name of the main character, Autumn (conceited much?? Probably! But there are not a lot of Autumn main characters so yeah)...

When Eden contacted me to review it for her before her next installment came out I was thrilled... I politely stalked this author a few times and I kept wanting to read this book but I kept getting backed up and never had time for my own personal TBR list.... Anyway, I actually had time when she emailed me so I said what the hell and started reading it pretty soon after...

I liked this story very much but I didn't LOVE it like I wanted too. It got to be too much back and forth between Declan and Autumn and I got more annoyed than anything with them. Autumn is stubborn (must be a name thing because I am the same way)... And Declan was crazy about her BUT there were things in the middle of this romance and Autumn has no idea what they are... When Declan can't tell her, she eventually finds out in one of the worst ways possible.

It was all very dramatic and anxiety ridden. I was annoyed but I still loved the story. I couldn't guess what the big secret was and that is unusual for me because, mostly, I guess shit right from the beginning and this time I couldn't... Once the secret was out, I was again irritated at Autumn because she blew shit out of proportion and kept blaming the wrong people... It got to be too much...

The overall story was amazing. Loved the setting and I actually felt like I was there and could picture it easily in my head without much detail given to me. I LOVED Declan and his Irish hot self ;)...
The secondary characters were entertaining and in the end I got everything I wanted. It just took a long time to get there...

LOVED the library scene and aheeem others as well... I definitely had butterflies while reading scenes with Autumn and Declan... Lots of feels for them!!

Overall, I give this story a 4/5 "frustrating but amazing story" STARS

{Review} {giveaway} Dazed by Kim Karr

Synopsis:
Jagger Kennedy never went looking for fame, he just fell into it. After scoring a major modeling contract, his clean-cut good looks and charm catapulted his career. But when his actress girlfriend breaks his heart, he moves to L.A. to try his hand at acting. He’s not looking for love—he just needs to make a change.

Aerie Daniels is a woman in control … until she meets Jagger. Her surprising connection with him leaves her dazed and it’s unlike anything she’s ever felt. But just when she lets her walls fall, she makes a startling discovery about Jagger that breaks her fragile heart into a million pieces.
To keep from losing the woman who’s changing his world, Jagger is willing to give up anything—including his career. But even that might not be enough to regain Aerie’s shattered trust…

My Thoughts

Dazed was a quick read but it packed a whole lot of entertainment. There were times where I wanted to scream, laugh, cry, smack each character upside the head and the book was only about 130 pages long!!

Jagger is a sweet character who happens to fall for Aerie. Aerie on the other hand, is a type A personality and she has to be in control of every single detail of her life. But when Jagger comes into town and turns it upside down, her personality begins to get a makeover. Of course until all the drama hits and then she retreats back to what she knows.

There was just enough angst to give the story a punch but not enough to really drive you crazy! It was more entertaining and sweet than full of soap opera drama. I loved the Alice in Wonderland references and I really loved the banter back and forth between Jagger and Aerie.

I know this was a novella so it had to be quick but I felt that the overall relationship was kind of rushed. I know the whole insta-connection is there, just like Kim's other stories, but I felt like there needed to be a little more between them.

Still didn't take from the story at all, I am just picky ;)...

Overall I give this novella 4/5 stars and if you love the Connection Series then you will LOVE this novella as well!!

Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller LICK.

Synopsis
Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl.
Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

My Thoughts

Dear Mal,
You make me want to do a lot of dirty things to you that could possibly be considered illegal in several states... I know this must sound promising to you and I agree.
SO let's meet up sometime...

Ok.... Now that my vagina had her obvious, creepy, say in this review... lets get serious for a moment...

I loved this book!!
I LOVED Mal and his completely neurotic and hilarious personality...
He always seemed like this funny, laid back person in Lick but there was sooooo much more to his personality and discovering the levels was like peeling back the layers of an onion. Each new layer revealed a deeper, more complex character but one thing remained true, he had an amazing heart in the center of it all.

He reminded me a lot of the male version of me, AkA my husband. It's probably why I loved Mal so much. The things that he would say would be something my husband would say. I wanted to write Kylie a letter and ask if she has ever met my husband because it was uncanny.

Anne was pretty complex as well. I didn't feel like I really got to know her, even though the story was told in her POV. I don't know what it was but I felt like I needed more of her background to really get a grasp on her character. But it didn't bother me enough to not like the story. In fact, I didn't really notice it until I was looking back at the book trying to write this review.

The overall story was actually a little heartbreaking but I had soooo many damn feels!! I was laughing my ass off, crying, and then laughing again. The story made me FEEL every emotion and that is what really matters to me.
I am 100% sure I loved this book more than Lick....

Yes, SHOCKING, I know...
But it's the truth.
There was something so magical about Mal that just made me love him even more than David. I liked David but I wasn't in love with him like Mal...

If you have not had the pleasure of knowing Mal, then I would get on it. If you loved Lick, then you will LOVE Play even more... But just remember ladies... HE'S MINE!!

Overall, I give this amazing story 5/5 I WANT TO HUMP MAL stars!!! If you would like to be introduced then check out the links below..
