My Thoughts
Where do I begin with this book??
Throughout this story, I am filled with so much angst, lust, sympathy, anger... pretty much every emotion I can think of.
I loved Aundrea and her spunky, determined, stubborn personality. She had to face a lot of adversity in her life and it's pretty heartbreaking to read and experience.
I felt sorry for her but at the same time I respected her, even if she pissed me off...a lot. Ok maybe pissed off is a strong choice of words, maybe I should say she frustrated me to no end. BUT with what she had to live through everyday, I understood why she did the things she did...
It's scary to bare your soul to someone that could possibly damage it beyond repair. Fear can make people hide things they do not want to share in case that person looks at you differently or not at all.
Which brings me to Parker... Sweet, sweet Parker. I wanted to seriously have his babies!! I loved his face off. He was patient, kind, understanding, sex on a stick... I could probably go on and on about his attributes and it would still not be enough.
Aundrea and Parker together was dynamic, whole, sweet, and swoon-worthy. Aundrea is scared of the feelings she has for him but she can't stopped them even if she tried, and she definitely tried. But Parker wouldn't let her hide from him, he challenged her and broke through the barriers she built with his heart, tongue, mouth, di...oh wait I am getting off topic here...
"You're the first person who has made me feel beautiful, like I can be and do anything I want. And more than anything, I'm scared that you'll never be able to go back and see me as that."
Reading on and seeing the relationship develop between Parker and Aundrea, I was completely captivated by their attraction and sex appeal. There were times where I just wanted them to have sex all the time because I wanted to read the shit over and over again. It. Was. Hot and not over the top.
It was just enough to get the juices flowing ;)
This story is just soul-searchingly good(?)
Not sure if that makes any fucking sense but that is the best I can come up with. I dug deep and put myself in this girl's shoes and just broke for her. She went through so much in her life and it seemed like she could never catch a break.
Then... then, that epilogue came along and I completely lost my shit... I was crying buckets and cursing Amanda's name hardcore!
Why Amanda...WHY must you do something like that to my emotions??
I believe I called her an asshole on GoodReads and no I don't take it back... she was but she's also an amazingly talented writer and I loved the writing and the emotions even if I wanted to smack her in her twat!!
Can't wait to read more from this author. I think the only complaint I have is, I wish there was more about Parker in here, there just wasn't enough of him..
I know, I know, I am a greedy whore...
BUT What can I say, I'm a Parker slut...
I give this book a 4.5/5 and I recommend all you Book Trollops read this book ASAP...
